Clones of these toadstools have been propagated in captivity for likely 20+ years. Most corals listed on other sites listed as "neon" would look dull next to one of these stunning toadstool corals.
Toadstool leathers in general are super hardy and can tolerate higher Nitrate and Phosphate levels than a lot of other corals. Larger specimens do not take well to shipping, but the size we have typically do just fine. Cutting these corals will release allelotoxins that can significantly harm stony corals. Just keep this in mind if you have a lot of stony corals. These corals grow slowly which can be an advantage as they will not overgrow your tank or become invasive quickly like some other corals.
Like all the corals currently listed from TerraReef, this specimen is an aquacultured coral.
It is very important that you are aware of the care requirements of these corals before ordering. Please take some time to read some information from a few sources.
This item is a "stock item" meaning the coral you receive may not be the exact one in the picture, but a clone similar in appearance. Sometimes we include images of our mother colonies as well to give an idea of what the corals will grow into under proper care. Approximate size range may also vary between individual specimens.
