Green Spotted Mushroom
The specimens currently listed should be considered "loose". That is they may, or may not, only be attached to some bits of sand and not a plug or rock. Specimens will be at least 3/4" in diameter when open and not in too much light.
"Mushrooms" are hardy "corals" which can tolerate a wide range of conditions.(these are corallimorphs, and not true corals) It is important to note these animals should never be handled with bare hands. Please make sure you understand the risks of working with mushrooms before purchasing.
We have seen similar coral referred to as being a part of the Discosoma genus which is in the Corallimorphia order, but more recently many refer to them as being the genus Actinodiscus. We are not sure on the genus or species for these.
Like all the corals currently listed from TerraReef, this specimen is an aquacultured coral.
It is very important that you are aware of the care requirements of these corals before ordering. Please take some time to read some information from a few sources.
This item is a "stock item" meaning the coral you receive may not be the exact one in the picture, but a clone similar in appearance. Sometimes we include images of our mother colonies as well to give an idea of what the corals will grow into under proper care. Approximate size range may also vary between individual specimens.
